Learning to judge your speed during your driving lessons, or indeed after takes practice. Which, with experience will allow you to drive at a safe, legal and appropriate speed.
In advanced driving there is a useful tool called the “limit point”. This is basically the furthest uninterrupted piece of road you can see. This could be an arrow straight road disappearing into the distance, the start of a bend, brow of a hill or an obstruction.
If this furthest piece of road (limit point) is getting closer to you then you need to slow down. If its staying the same distance away then your speed is good. When the “limit point” starts to get further away from you, then you can increase speed.
Here at Lytes Driving School your driving instructor will incorporate advance driving techniques during your driving lessons.
This way, not only can you pass your driving test first time, but become a safe and thinking driver for life.
“I decided to choose Lytes Driving School because of the good reviews, the car and the price. I got the website address from Google (www.lytesdrivingschool.co.uk).
Learning to drive was very easy compared to what I expected. There was lots of support with a great amount of patience, I felt very comfortable compared to what I expected.
I found my driving instructors methods brilliant! Very patient, polite and helpful instructor. Everything was explained nicely and he made the process easy and comfortable for me.
Would I recommend Lytes Driving School? Yes!
Unlike my first driving school this was so much better for me. Friendly and enjoyable service, I learnt so much from Dave during my driving lessons.
I never thought I would pass first time, but thanks to Dave, I did.”
